Established in 1994, R & D American Aviation, LLC has earned a reputation in the Kansas City area of being thorough, striving to give you, the customer, the safest aircraft possible. Our mechanics have earned their credentials through years of practical and classroom instruction. R & D American Aviation is capable of a wide variety of services to care for any general aviation needs you may have. R & D American Aviation routinely provides maintenance for Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, Mooney, Cirrus and Diamond aircraft.  Our parts department keeps common wear items in stock for most major airframe manufacturers, as well as Lycoming and Continental engines.  All other parts can be ordered as needed.

 

Among all of the major certified general aviation aircraft, we also service many homebuilt experimental aircraft as well.  With many years experience servicing experimental aircraft, and building our award winning RV-8, we can provide you with many services required to keep your experimental flying well.  Some of the types we service the most are all of the Van's aircraft, Lancair, Glasair and Pitts biplanes.
